What is STEAM Education?
S.T.E.A.M. stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics. This year at Roby, we have decided to enhance our Art program by changing it to the STEAM lab.
Students will be given many opportunities in the STEAM lab to question like a scientist, design like a technologist, build like an engineer, create like an artist, and deduce like a mathematician.

Mission Statement
Our mission in the Roby STEAM lab is to grow creative and innovative thinkers. Our Roby students are real world problem solvers who collaborate and persevere utilizing a growth mindset. We are a caring community of students and teachers who work together to build, create, test, and improve daily, regardless of our learning abilities. The STEAM lab is an extension of the classroom that incorporates the Common Core state and national standards for math, science, and art. The STEAM lab will be used as a catalyst for students to excel in their content areas here at Roby as well as prepare them for middle school and beyond.
